Ernest Nuamah, the Ghanaian international, showcased a stellar performance on Friday night, aiding Olympique Lyon to secure a victory over OGC Nice in the French Ligue 1.
The talented winger was a starter for his team in the home match, held at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais.
During the Round 22 clash of the ongoing French Ligue 1 campaign, Nuamah played a crucial role by providing the assist for the only goal of the match in the 22nd minute. He set up Orel Mangala, who scored to give Lyon the lead heading into halftime.
Despite OGC Nice’s determined efforts in the second half, they couldn’t find a way past Lyon’s defense and ultimately suffered a narrow defeat at the end of the 90 minutes.
In the Friday night fixture, Ernest Nuamah played for 79 minutes before being substituted by Rayan Cherki.
So far this season, the Black Stars winger has made 18 appearances for Olympique Lyon, contributing with one goal and two assists.
