Emmanuel Boateng set to work under Rafael Benitez at Dalian Yifang

Ghanaian international Emmanuel Boateng is set to work under top football manager Rafael Benitez at Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang.

The Chinese club is expected to announce the appointment of the formal Liverpool manager after successfully agreeing on personal terms to bring him on board to take charge of the side.

Following the resignation South Korean coach Choi Kang Hee, the club has scheduled a meeting with the former Champions League-winning coach where owners of Yifang will be having further discussions with the tactician.

According to reports, his appointment could make him the highest paid coach in the world.

Rafael Benitez official left Newcastle United on June 30, 2019, when his contract expired. According to him, the decision became necessary because the two parties could not share the same vision.

I wanted to stay, but I didn’t just wait to sign an extended contract, I wanted to be part of a project. Unfortunately, it became increasingly clear to me that those at the top of the club did not share the same vision”, he said.

Ghanaian international Emmanuel Boateng who joined the last in the last transfer window will be playing under Rafa Benitez and will be hoping to get on the good side of the manager to have the nod over the other attackers for the starting role.

He is in fine form recently and has scored three goals in the last two matches in the Chinese Super League. In all, he has four goals in seven games and looks on course to bagging more for his side.
