Former Asante Kotoko coach Michael Osei says the Porcupine Warriors are the best side in group C of the CAF Confederations Cup.
The Ghanaian giants have impressed in the group stages of the competition despite the lack of competitive football in the West African nation.
Osei praised the Kumasi based outfit for reaching this stage of the competition and believes they have enough quality to go all the way.
“The entire Kotoko team have done a very good job so far looking at the current state of football in the Country. The technical team is also doing well because it wasn’t easy looking at inactivity of football in the Country,” he told Ashh FM.
“We must keep on supporting and encouraging the team because technically, Kotoko is the best in their group,” he added.
Meanwhile, the deputy Black Stars coach was also quick to admit the players lack some match fitness.
“The players lack match fitness so we must be calm and support them positively because the players are trying their best though there is no competitive games been played in the Country,” Osei said.
“Selection of players should be left to the Technical Team because they are competent enough to give their best for the team, their selection for the game against Nkana fc was very good so I think we must support the coach and his team.”
