When Aduana Stars defeated Great Olympics 1-0 on Tuesday, goalie Joseph Addo earned the honor of being named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
In game week nine of the Ghana Premier League, Addo preserved a clean sheet to aid the Ogya team in securing a crucial victory at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
Aduana Stars received all the points they required to maintain their position atop the league standings thanks to an own goal by Raymond Oko Grippman in the 35th minute.
The Dade Boys tried to equalized but Aduana Stars defenders stopped them from getting any chance around their goal area.
Both teams made changes to try and influence the game, Aduana Stars to protect their lead and Great Olympics to find the back of the net.
The game ended 1-0 and the Ogya Boys took away all three points home.
Aduana Stars are at the summit of the Ghana Premier League table with 19 points after nine games while Great Olympics is 6th with 14 points after nine games.
Aduana Stars will play Asante Kotoko in their next game while Great Olympics will take on Tamale City FC.
