Police in the Central Region have picked up a suspect in the murder of a 56 year old security guard, Benjamin Acquah with the GCB Bank at Abura Dunkwa over the weekend.
According to ASP Irene Oppong, Public Relations Officer of the Central Regional Police Command, the unidentified suspect is key in the investigations underway to unravel the mystery surrounding the death of the security guard.

Chaos erupted in the town on Sunday which saw the angry youth burning five houses belonging some Malian scrap dealers who they suspect were behind the murder.
According to the Police they had information that there was a fight ongoing at a house being occupied by some Malians in the town and rushed to the scene only to see the deceased lying in the middle of the house.
He was picked up to the Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

It took the timely intervention by the Police to stop the youth form torching more houses.
The latest incident comes barely three weeks after the gruesome murder of the Chief Linguist and his pregnant wife in cold blood in their home.
