The departing Chief of Defense Staff, Vice Admiral Seth Amoama, has expressed appreciation to Inspector-General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare for the unprecedented farewell guard of honour held at the Police headquarters on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.
During his farewell speech, Vice Admiral Seth Amoama thanked the heads of various security agencies and emphasized the historic nature of the guard of honour, urging continued collaboration among the security services for the sake of peace and security in Ghana.
Inspector-General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, in his welcome address, expressed deep gratitude for Vice Admiral Seth Amoama’s more than four decades of unwavering commitment to Ghana.
The IGP highlighted the collaborative spirit that characterized the relationship between the Ghana Police Service and the Military under Vice Admiral Amoama’s leadership.
In a series of heartfelt tributes, heads of other security services, including the Director-General of Prisons, Mr. Isaac Kofi Egyir; Chief Fire Officer, Mr. Julius Kuunuor; Comptroller General of Immigration, Mr. Kwame Asuah Takyi; and the Commissioner of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority, Alhaji Seidu Iddrisu Iddisah, took turns praising Vice Admiral Seth Amoama for his exemplary dedication and collaborative support.
As a unified gesture, the security chiefs presented a citation of honor to the outgoing Chief of Defence Staff, commending his outstanding leadership qualities and the strong bond fostered among the various security agencies under his tenure.
