Out of the One Hundred and Six (106) Minority Members in Parliament, only five of them were present on the floor of the House on Friday, 22 June for business.
The Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwesi Amoako Atta, was on the floor on Friday to answer questions posed by MP for Ningo Prampam, Samuel Nartey George, who was one of the five Minority MPs present in the chamber.
The rest of the Minority MPs present include Richard Quashiga, MP for Keta; Muntaka Mubarak, MP for Asawase; Benjamin Kpodo, MP for Ho Central; and James Klutse Avedzi, Ketu North.
The Majority side of the house also had a lot of MPs absenting themselves with only a little over 40 of them being present. ClassFM reports.
According to Ekow Annan, Minority Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak, pleaded with Speaker Prof Mike Oquaye to allow the members present to ask questions on behalf of the absentee MPs.
