There has been disagreements in the house concerning the need to make January 7, Constitution Day, and August 4 Public Holidays.

The Minority in Parliament disagreed to the proposal by President Akufo-Addo saying that Founder’s Day, which marks the birthday of Ghana’s first president Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah should not be treated as an ordinary day because he contributed greatly to securing the country for Ghanaians.
