Magistrate ‘pees’ in chamber pot in her office due to lack of washroom

Chief Justice, Sophia Akuffo has described the state of districts courts in the country as unacceptable.

The Chief Justice who is on a four-day tour of the judicial courts in the central region was stunned when the District Magistrate, Felicia Gandeji pulled a chamber pot she uses due to the absence of a washroom.

According to the Chief Justice, such courts risk closure by the end of the year if they do not adhere strictly to the model designed for all courts.

Richard Kwadwo Nyarko who is with the Chief justice on the tour said Madam Sophia Akuffo expressed disappointment, especially over the state of the Kasoa court when she visited the court.
