Yeezy has posted a picture of a minidisc with the words ‘Yandhi 9 29 18’ (that’s 29 September or a week on Saturday).
The artwork (below) is very similar to his Yeezus album, which was released in 2013.
We can’t find any translation of the word ‘Yandhi’ but it looks like it is pronounced similarly to the Hindi word for ‘storm’ – which would seen appropriate given his recent dealings with the press and social media.
Either that or it could be a play on the name Gandhi with Kanye perhaps comparing himself to the Indian human rights leader, in much the same way that Yeezus was a play on the name Jesus.
Kanye released Ye earlier this summer – the first of seven albums which he produced for the likes of Pusha T, Nas and Teyana Taylor.
He’s also been working on a new record with another famous Chicagoan rapper Chance, who tweeted this below, suggesting their album will be called “good ass job” Are they talking about the same album or can we expect two albums in the pipeline?
Looks like we’ll find out by the end of the month.
