David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, is facing a legal battle with Sophia Momodu over custody of their daughter, Imade.

Momodu’s lawyers filed a counter affidavit alleging that Davido’s home is unsafe for Imade, referencing the tragic death of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi, in 2022.

They argue that Davido’s controversial lifestyle and the circumstances of his son’s death make him unfit for custody.

In response, Davido expressed bitterness at Momodu for bringing up his son’s death in the custody case, stating that it continues to haunt him.

He announced his intention to forego seeking custody of Imade, emphasizing that she will eventually grow up and understand his efforts on her behalf.

Davido clarified that he initially sought joint custody, but he feels misunderstood due to his celebrity status. He concluded by wishing blessings upon others and expressing hope that they never face a similar situation.
