Asante Kotoko have rejected the resignation of head coach, Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin, who decided to leave his post after training on Thursday.
Paa Kwesi Fabin tendered in his resignation at Kotoko secretariat on Thursday afternoon, and management, in a swift response, has rejected the move.

A release signed by Chief Executive Officer, George Amoako, has directed Paa Kwesi Fabin to Section 12.3 of his contract with the club which requires that he pays the money covering the remaining period of the agreement before he could resign.
“Section 12.3 (of the contract signed between Kotoko and Paa Kwesi Fabin) states: “If the Head Coach terminates this Agreement before the expiry of the term hereby granted or any extension thereof, he shall to the club the sum equivalent to the sums due him for the unexpired period of the contract.â€

According to reports, Fabin has resigned because he’s close to joining South African second-tier side Maccabi FC.
