He said the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election must be a win for the NDC to send a clear signal to the president of his negligence on his constitutional mandate to protect Ghanaians.
“Let us use this by-election to protest the insecurity we are facing in this country”.
He said this at the back of the recent killing of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale on his way home and the murder of the Tema Ports Public Affairs Manager Josephine Asante in her home.

He entreated party members to vote massively to elect Delali Kwesi Brempong to parliament as the first step to rescuing Ghanaians from the NPP in 2020 in what he described as mismanagement of the economy that has led to job losses.
“Let’s elect Delali Kwesi Brempong to send a yellow card and show the red card to Nana Addo and the NPP in the 2020 general elections”.
The Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency seat became vacant after the death of Emmanuel Agyarko and has since been opened for contest on 31 January.
Both the party in power, NPP and the NDC are marshalling all strategies to convince voters to elect their candidates to represent them.
The National Youth Organizer of the NDC, Opare Addo has charged his youth wing to “be vigilant at the polling station as this is a clear test of readiness to win 2020 elections”.
