NPP’s route to victory requires immediate Government reshuffle – Justin Kodua to Akufo-Addo

The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Koduah, has urged President Akufo-Addo to promptly initiate a comprehensive reshuffling of his government.

Speaking passionately at the party’s annual Thanksgiving service held at the party headquarters, Koduah emphasized the critical need for the appointment of fresh faces to invigorate the NPP and ensure the achievement of its objectives.

Expressing his deep concern regarding the conduct of certain government appointees, whose actions are perceived to be negatively affecting the party’s popularity, Koduah firmly asserted, “If you are tired, resign and leave so the party can retain power.”

He specifically addressed Ministers, CEOs, and MMDCEs, urging those who feel fatigued and have not been subjected to a reshuffle to consider resigning instead of undermining the party’s overall progress.

Mr Koduah underscored the importance of making timely changes within the government structure, stating, “It is time for some changes in the government so we get some new faces to continue. We believe that if we get new appointments, we will be able to retain power in the next election.”

The NPP General Secretary’s plea to President Akufo-Addo is not just a call for a routine reshuffle but a strategic move to inject new energy and perspectives into the government.

The objective is to enhance the party’s appeal, address any perceived fatigue among current appointees, and position the NPP favorably for success in the upcoming election.

In addition to the call for resignations from those feeling tired and stagnant, Koduah stressed the urgency of President Akufo-Addo’s intervention to ensure a seamless transition and the infusion of fresh talent into key positions.

The party’s focus is not only on retaining power but also on fostering a government that reflects dynamism, responsiveness, and a commitment to the aspirations of the Ghanaian people.

As the NPP gears up for the next election, Koduah’s appeal serves as a rallying cry for a proactive and strategic approach to government reshuffling. The party envisions a revitalized leadership that can effectively navigate the evolving political landscape and secure electoral victory.
