Early morning rainfall on Thursday, July 6, 2023, has caused portions of the Kasoa-Mallam road submerged in floodwaters.
The affected areas include West Hills Junction, SCC traffic intersection, and Ataala-Old Barrier.
Video journalist Kwame Adzaho-Amenortor captured the extent of the situation.
The heavy downpour lasted for approximately 30 minutes and disrupted the movement of commuters, who faced difficulties finding transportation.
The recurring issue, caused by water runoff from nearby hills, has raised concerns among residents.
They are urging the relevant authorities to address the problem promptly and rectify the damages on the road.
The residents have also requested the government’s involvement in engaging road engineers to resolve the issue.
