Ghanaians are in a state of mourning following the demise of a highlife legend, A.B. Crentsil.

Alfred Benjamin Crentsil, popularly known as AB Crentsil, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

AB Crentsil died aged 79. It is unknown the cause of his death.

Twitter users are expressing their condolence to the bereaved family.

In their posts, they wrote “Rest in peace” “Rest well music king.”

They eulogized the great artiste for his remarkable songs such as Devil, Moses, I go pay you tomorrow, Obi Baa Wiase, Odo Ye, among others.

It is without a doubt that Ghana has lost an asset who has contributed immensely to the music industry.

While alive, Crentsil opened a 16-track recording studio in 1990. “Devil” is among his best-known songs.

He simultaneously worked as an electrician and played with the Strollers Band owned by one Kwesi Donkor.
