Final year student drowns in river Okye

A 19-year-old final year business student of Assin Manso Senior High School, Ebenezer Owusu Ansah has drowned in river Okye after an attempt to swim.

The final year student, who hails from Kasoa, was said to have gone out with his friends to the riverside where the sad incident occurred.

The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Abura Dunkwa Government Hospital morgue by the Assin South District police for further investigation.

Meanwhile, the police have declined to speak to the media on the matter, explaining that investigation is still underway.
