Report reaching theindepedentghana.com has it one student has been short dead and several others severely injuries at the University of Education in Winneba in the Central Region.
This was a after a bloody clash between the police and students on the school.
What was intended to be a peaceful protest by students of the University degenerated into chaos after police officers clashed with students leaving many injured.

A video obtained by tigpost.co has Tear Gas been fired by the police to disperse a crowd of protesting students.
The students in response are seen pelting stones and sticks at the police officers. While also vandalising some school properties including projectors, glass windows, chairs etc.
According to our correspondent, the school has completely siege by the police and military to prevent anyone from leaving and coming in.
Ealier this week some senior staff of troubled University of Education Winneba (UEW) were sacked under the watch of the current Vice-Chancellor, Reverend Father Prof Anthony Afful-Broni.
There are fears more persons could be fired in the ensuing days as the clergyman is said to be embarking on what many have described as a house cleaning exercise to take out persons who are opposed to his style of leadership.

According to the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG), over 30 different categories of staff including senior lecturers of the University of Winneba have been “sacked, suspended and demoted arbitrarily†for various reasons.
