Bawumia announces 319-member manifesto committee

The Bawumia for President 2024 campaign team has disclosed the full membership of its manifesto committee ahead of the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections in Ghana. This announcement, made on February 22, 2024, by the campaign’s director of communications, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, signals a significant milestone in the campaign’s preparations for the elections.

In a press release, the campaign emphasized the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders as they strive to achieve a historic victory in the 2024 elections. The release highlighted the comprehensive nature of the manifesto committee, which comprises 319 members spanning various sectors of the political establishment.

The committee’s membership includes a diverse range of individuals, from the chair and vice-chair to coordinators and secretaries, reflecting a concerted effort to ensure broad representation and inclusivity within the campaign team. Additionally, serving ministers in different areas are appointed as advisors to the respective committees, bringing valuable expertise and insights to the table.

At the helm of the manifesto team is the immediate past Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, with Kojo Oppong Nkrumah serving as his deputy. This leadership duo is tasked with overseeing the formulation and articulation of the campaign’s policy agenda, with the aim of addressing the needs and aspirations of the Ghanaian people.

The unveiling of the manifesto committee membership underscores the campaign’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and effective governance. By assembling a diverse and experienced team of individuals, the Bawumia for President 2024 campaign seeks to harness the collective wisdom and expertise necessary to navigate the complex challenges facing the nation and chart a course for progress and prosperity.

As the campaign gains momentum in the lead-up to the elections, all eyes will be on the manifesto committee to deliver a compelling vision for the future of Ghana and articulate concrete plans to address key issues affecting the lives of its citizens. With the support of stakeholders and the dedication of its members, the campaign aims to secure a resounding victory and usher in a new era of transformative leadership for the nation.
