Amissah-Arthurs body moved from 37 Military hospital

Adomonline.com can confirm that the mortal remains of late former Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has been moved from the 37 Military Hospital.

Adom FM reporter, Kofi Assan who was at the scene said, the deceased was in a black singlet and tracksuit an indication that, he was indeed at the gym when the unfortune incident occurred.

“I saw the body being carried from the morgue in a military ambulance; He was wearing a black singlet and tracksuit” he added.

Amissah-Arthur died on Friday, 29 June 2018.

According to reports, he collapsed at the Air Force Gym early Friday and was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The news of his death has shocked many especially members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

President Akufo-Addo eulogized former vice-president Kwesi Amissah-Arthur describing him as a “fine public servant”.

In a Facebook post, he extended his condolence to the family, former President John Dramani Mahama, and to the NDC.

Amissah-Arthur was the sixth Vice-President of Ghana, in office from 6 August 2012 until 7 January 2017, under President John Dramani Mahama. Previously, he was Governor of the Bank of Ghana from 2009 to 2012
