Ahmed’s Murder: NPP, NDC’s blame game is ‘nauseating and annoying’ – Kabila

A member of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bomfeh, has blamed both the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its rival the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for compromising investigations into the murder of the investigative journalist, Ahmed Hussein-Suale.

Ahmed Hussein-Suale was a key member of ace undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Tiger Eye PI team.

He played an integral role in the undercover investigations into the bribery and corruption practices in Ghana Football resulting in the dissolution of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the resignation of then President Kwesi Nyantakyi.

Ahmed was on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 shot dead by some unknown gunmen at Madina on his way home and after the demise of the journalist; Anas Aremeyaw Anas posted a video of the Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Agyapong inciting people to beat up the deceased.

The MP is also suspecting Anas of masterminding the murder of the journalist, claiming the deceased has fallen out with Anas.

The NPP and NDC have also waded into the discussions, with the Minority in Parliament calling on the Police to grab the Assin Central MP who is also a staunch member of the ruling party for interrogation.

Speaking to sit-in host Nana Yaw Kesseh on Peace FM’s ‘kokrokoo’ programme, James Kwabena Bomfeh popularly called Kabila noted that the two parties are only worsening the situation by pointing fingers at certain people saying “the real culprits might be out there laughing”.

According to him, the parties should leave the Police to do their work and not interfere with their investigations.

He believed the Police are capable of hunting for the culprits and do not need the NPP and NDC or any individual to be making wild accusations at others since it can potentially disrupt investigations.

“What the NDC and the NPP, you do to us the citizens who are not part of you; is that you make us look stupid anytime they vote for you. Because you turn around and blame each other for the failures that the two of you have presided over . . . The blame game in that thing is nauseating and annoying,” he said.
