8 arrested for removing NPP billboard in Agona East

The Agona Swedru Police Command has reportedly apprehended 8 individuals for the removal of a billboard belonging to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Agona East Constituency, Hannah Asamoah, and NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, at Mankrong Nkwanta.

According to sources, the removal of the billboard was carried out under the supervision of local chiefs and elders from the community.

A video circulating on social media captured moments of the removal, where a male voice could be heard commenting on the location of the billboard.

“There is a big compound here but they decided to fix it here. So they are removing it,” the voice stated in the video.
