Renowned gospel musician, Diana Asamoah, has urged veteran artiste Edward Akwasi Boateng to wisely utilize the recent gifts he has received to sustain himself.
In a public appeal for assistance, Boateng was gifted a car and an educational scholarship by Prophet Benard El Benard Nelson-Eshun, following a video that captured him selling pen drives and CDs at a bus station in Kumasi.
Asamoah, expressing concern over Boateng’s repeated appeals for help, suggested that he used the privately gifted car for a ride-hailing service to generate income.
She emphasised the importance of managing these gifts judiciously to avoid future financial challenges.
In an interview with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM, Diana Asamoah sympathised with Boateng, a staunch Christian, and advised him to leverage the car for income generation.
She stressed the need for him to avoid finding himself in a position where he has to make public appeals for assistance again.
Prophet Benard El Benard Nelson–Eshun’s generosity extended not only to the car but also included an educational scholarship to support Boateng’s children up to the university level.
The gifts were presented in response to Boateng’s proactive efforts to generate income for his family, selling products at the bus station after facing financial challenges, including the loss of seventeen cars due to marriage.
The viral video prompted an outpouring of support from Ghanaians, with Prophet Nelson-Eshun stepping in to provide substantial assistance to the veteran gospel artiste.
