Presently, Chef Failatu Abdul Razak is in the midst of her fourth day, striving to break the existing Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon.
Her ambitious goal is to achieve a 120-hour cook-a-thon, taking place at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale.
Additionally, several other Ghanaians have announced their intentions to break world records, creating a buzz on social media. Here’s a compilation of Ghanaians gearing up for Guinness World Record attempts.
1. Dela Gomey
Ghanaian nurse and makeup artist, Dela Gomey, is gearing up to set a new Guinness World Record for the most lipstick applications in 30 seconds.
His ambitious plan involves applying lipstick on five models within the given time frame, aiming to surpass the current record of four applications held by Chinese makeup artist Li Jiaqi.
The event is slated to unfold on January 6, 2024, at the Efa Guest House in Dodowa, Greater Accra Region.

A Ghanaian graduate and passionate reader are gearing up to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest reading-aloud marathon.
His ambitious goal is to read aloud continuously for six days, aiming for a total duration of approximately 145 to 150 hours.
3. Adu Safoa
Ghanaian actress and media personality, Adu Safowaa, has declared her intention to attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest individual speech marathon.
She revealed that she has secured official approval from Guinness World Records, expressing confidence in surpassing the current record held by a Nepalese man, which stands at over 90 hours.
Adu Safowaa shared this exciting news across her social media platforms using the hashtag #ADUSAFOWAAH_SPEECH_A_THON.
4. Mawuena Benedictus is also expected to embark on readmania, thus the longest marathon of reading aloud.
5. Patrick Amenuvor is also anticipated to embark on a stand-a-thon beginning on January 14th to January 21.
