Determination and commitment keeps me going- Chef Faila

Chef Failatu Abdul Razak, popularly known as Chef Faila, attributes her remarkable success to unwavering determination and a commitment to making a positive impact on her community and the nation.

The culinary expert, who aimed to elevate Ghana and the Northern region onto the global stage, emphasized her focus on talent, skills, and self-education.

“I prioritized putting Ghana and the North region on the map. My motivation came from within, and witnessing other women succeed in various places further fueled my drive,” she expressed.

Chef Faila highlighted the pivotal role of the overwhelming support from a large crowd, stating that it provided her with the courage to see her goals through.

For her, it was not just about pleasing Guinness but also about fulfilling the needs of the people who came to support her.

“It wasn’t solely about impressing Guinness. I felt a responsibility to provide food for the wonderful people who came out to support me. It became a priority for me,” she explained.

Beyond her culinary endeavors, Chef Faila used the Cook-a-thon as an opportunity to give back to the community.

She actively contributed to feeding vulnerable members of her community, emphasising her commitment to making a positive impact.

“Coming out of Cook-a-thon and subsequent meals, I made sure to share them with the guests at the venue, as well as orphans and street beggars. Every pack of food leaving our Cook-a-thon kitchen was dedicated to charity,” she shared.

Chef Faila’s success story reflects not only her culinary prowess but also her dedication to community service and philanthropy.
