Chelsea fans dig at Sarri for playing Hudson-Odoi from the bench

Chelsea fans have taken a swipe at their manager, Maurizio Sarri, for playing Callum Hudson-Odoi on the bench despite his current form.

The English-born Ghanaian youngster has been linked with a move to Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich, but the London club was reported to have turned down several offers from the Bavarians.

However, the 18-year-old has had a limited play time for Chelsea although his impact on the game has been significant anytime his is introduced.

Hudson-Odoi who has scored three goals with one assist in his seven Europa League appearances, came off the bench in the 78th minute to score a late goal to give the Blues a 3-0 win over Dynamo Kiev in their Europa League match on Thursday

This has left the fans wondering why the talented player is still kept on the bench by the manager when his contribution on the pitch is always felt.

After the game, the fans took to social media to criticise the manage for the limited play time given to the talented young player with some insisting he needs more time than what he currently gets.

‘How are we not playing him every game!’ Questioned one Chelsea fan. ‘Give him a new contract too!’

Another said ‘Hudson-Odoi with his fourth goal of the season despite hardly getting any playing time. What does this kid have to do to win over Sarri!?’

A fan compared him to Real Madrid wonderkid Vinicius Jr, and stated that Hudson-Odoi “has to go to a club that will play him regularly.”

Another fan wrote “almost as if they should be playing every game on merit,”
