Brighton and Hove Albion, a Premier League club, have revealed the acquisition of Ghanaian winger Ibrahim Osman.
The announcement came on Saturday, February 10, 2024, confirming that Brighton has secured the services of the FC Nordsjaelland winger for a fee of £16 million.
Despite the signing, the 19-year-old winger will remain with FC Nordsjaelland for the remainder of the 2023–2024 season before officially joining Brighton in the summer.
Technical director David Weir said he was “a young and exciting prospect.”
He added, “For now, it’s important that we give him the space to focus on Nordsjalland, where he is enjoying a good season.” Osman has scored four goals and five assists for his club in 29 appearances this season.
Ibrahim Osman was strongly linked with West Ham and was expected to join them. However, the deal fell through because West Ham was unwilling to meet the asking price.
