Zongo youth storm Kumasi central mosque; burn tyres, beat war drums

Some youth from Asawase Zongo have stormed the Kumasi Central Mosque in the Ashanti Region, burning tyres in apparent protest to recent shootings of seven residents by the police.

War songs are being chanted while road blocks have been mounted in front of the mosque.

They are demanding justice for the killings,Â 3news.comÂ picked up.
