Bawumia marks Christiansborg crossroads shooting anniversary

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia joined the Veterans Association of Ghana (VAG), to mark the 71st anniversary of the Christiansborg crossroad shooting.

The ceremony involved a simulated re-enactment of what took place on February 28, 1948.

Unarmed ex-servicemen were marching to the seat of government to present a petition to the then governor of Gold Coast, Sir Gerald Creasy when they were shot at by the police.

Sergeant Adjetey, Corporal Attipoe, Private Odartey Lamptey were killed.
