Mr Kwesi Aning who is a security analyst says Ghana as a country has treated violence in a kind manner and that is affecting us.
Mr Aning who was testifying before the Ayawaso Commission of Inquiry said we have glorified violence for a long time in Ghana the time is up for us put measures in place to curb it.

Mr Aning an expert in security called on the government to put in stringent measures to curb violence before it explodes.
“We’ve glorified violence for far too long in this country” he noted.
He also said the two big political parties that is the NPP and the NDC create of form vigilante group now known as party militias due to insecurity.

“Because both parties have been in power and know what Govt does to the security setup, in opposition, they know what the gov’t could do and this creates a sense of insecurity and also leads to the arming and training of these militias”
He added that the violence that marred the Ayawaso by-election leaves a lot of rooms for questions to be asked as to how the country has recently experienced violence during the by-election.
The Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election on January 31, 2019, was characterized by violence.
This led to some shootings and subsequently the injury of some 13 people believed to be NDC members.
