Audit Service rips into ‘false’ Daily Guide report

The Audit Service has rubbished a Daily Guide newspaper publication purporting that its Director General has spent some GHS7.6million to purchase cars for the institution.

The story written by one Gibril Abdul Razak alleges that the Auditor General, Daniel Domelevo did not go through the right tender process in the said purchases.

However, in a press release Wednesday, the service debunked the claims in the story, describing them as “false”.

The publication stated that the cost of the cars was above the approval limit for the Auditor General but the Audit Service has debunked that claim saying that the approval came from the Central Tender Review Board.
