AFRIMA 2018: ‘I didn’t perform because I wasn’t paid what I charged’ – Dj Mic Smith

Eagleeyemediagh.com earlier reported that, some Ghanaian Djs refused to perform at the AFRIMA music night due to the fact that, they were not paid the amount they charged and felt disrespected.

Dj Mic Smith who was among the billed Djs for the night on Hitzfm revealed that, he was not paid what he charged at the AFRIMA village last night, however he was given “Something” to take home and for a fact, he did not perform because it was late.

“I wasn’t paid what I charged at AFRIMA Village last night. However, I was given something to take home, he told Andy Dosty.

He also added that, initially, he charged the AFRIMA organizers to pay him an amount of Ghc6000 and was expecting to be paid before he perform as agreed.

“I was supposed to be paid Ghc6,000. I didn’t perform because it was late, yet I took the ‘something’ given to us (6 DJs) to share.”

Micheal Owusu known as DJ Mic Smith is a Ghanaian event, club, radio, mixtape and artist DJ and also an entrepreneur.

He currently holds 4 awards and 6 nominations; 2 awards with 4syte TV for DJ of the year, The Redbull club DJ of the year award and Best Mixtape DJ with Ghana DJ Awards.
