Adebayor reunites with Funny Face – Asamoah Gyan reveals in birthday wish to the comedian

Former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has revealed that Togo legend Emmanuel Adebayor has agreed to amend his strained relationship with comic actor Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, affectionately known as Funny Face.

Gyan made the revelation in a lengthy celebratory message on X to Funny Face who turns 43 years old today, October 1, 2024.

The former Sunderland striker acknowledged Adebayor accepting to be supportive again of the actor.

“Somebody help me wish the man on a mission, @funnyfacegh, a very big happy birthday. We really fought a good fight behind the scenes, and here we are now. A big thank you to my lovely brother Baffour Gyan, who also fought well to make this happen.

Lastly, to my brother from another mother, @e_adebayor, for accepting to be there for our brother. Happy Birthday once again, my brother. Enjoy your day.”

Funny Face’s fallout with Emmanuel Adebayor, which occurred after some inappropriate comments and behaviour during a time when the comedian was struggling with mental health issues, appears to be on the mend.

Thanks to Asamoah Gyan’s intervention, the two seem to have rekindled their friendship.

Gyan, who has maintained a strong bond with Funny Face, has been offering support to the actor in various ways, helping to repair the relationship between the former friends.
