Reports from the Daily Record suggests that, Manchester City has turned down Paris Saint-Germain’s initial bid for Bernardo Silva.
However, it is stated that Silva himself has expressed a desire to move to France.
While there is reported interest from Saudi Arabia and Barcelona, Paris is believed to be Silva’s preferred destination.
PSG’s pursuit of Silva is being driven by Luis Campos, the club’s football advisor, who shares a close friendship with Silva after signing him for Monaco back in 2014.
Despite PSG’s interest, Manchester City remains optimistic about persuading Silva to remain at the club and is keen for him to extend his contract.
His current deal expires in 2025, and the club may need to force the Portugal international to make a decision over his future.
City face Bayern Munich in their first pre-season friendly on July 26.
