Ghana defender Alexander Djiku soon to become a free agent

Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku is on the verge of becoming a free agent as his contract with Strasbourg expires on June 30.

This situation has attracted the interest of several clubs, who are closely monitoring his status and considering a potential move for the talented center-back.

Djiku’s impressive performances during his time at Strasbourg have garnered attention from football clubs across Europe.

With no transfer fee involved, his expiring contract makes him an enticing prospect in the upcoming transfer market.

News of Djiku’s imminent free agent status has sparked interest from clubs in different leagues.

Mainz from Germany, Besiktas from Turkey, and Lille from France have already expressed their desire to sign the 28-year-old defender, while other teams may also join the race for his signature in the following weeks.

Strasbourg is also keen on securing Djiku’s services and is eager for him to sign a new deal.

Since joining the club in 2019, Djiku has proven his worth with over 100 appearances and played a vital role in helping the team secure safety in Ligue 1 last season.

His defensive prowess and versatility on the pitch have been evident.

With Djiku available on a free transfer, clubs have a valuable opportunity to bolster their defensive departments without significant financial expenditure.
