When Sergio Aguero donned a game shirt to join in with Argentina’s World Cup celebrations, John Terry, a former Premier League foe, teased him.
When doctors revealed that former striker Aguero had a heart condition, he decided to retire in December 2021, not long after moving from Manchester City to Barcelona.
After Sunday’s thrilling final against France, Aguero was out on the field with Lionel Messi and many other ex-teammates, in the middle of the partying players. Aguero scored 41 goals for his country before having to hang up his boots.
As the celebrations intensified, Aguero joined the players in the locker area and drank champagne.
Muy emocionado, chicos, por vivir este momento que ustedes hicieron posible junto a millones de argentinos. Pase lo que pase, ojalá que todo lo mejor, ya están en la historia y el corazón de todos. Vamos Argentina carajo! 🇦🇷❤️ pic.twitter.com/2zGXqigDsX

The former Chelsea and England captain Terry, who is well-versed in turning out in full gear despite not participating in a game, was alerted by the sight of him wearing a shirt but mismatched shorts, socks, and white trainers.
Following Chelsea’s victory over Bayern Munich on penalties in the 2012 Champions League final, Terry became infamous for donning his Chelsea jersey to participate in the trophy-lifting celebrations.
Due to his standing and contributions during the season, the captain had a right to participate in the presentation of the awards despite missing that game due to a suspension. Terry promptly showed up in full match gear.
